1. Leadership & Chamber Involvement

Demonstrates active participation in Chamber events, committees, programs, or initiatives.

Volunteers time and talents to help strengthen the Chamber and its mission.

Positively contributes to the quality of life in Sanders County through

volunteerism, partnerships, mentoring, or community service.

Supports local events, organizations, and economic development efforts.

3. Professional Excellence & Collaboration

Serves as a positive ambassador for their business, the Chamber, and SandersCounty.

Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a willingness to collaborate and support fellow Chamber members.

Sanders County Business of the Year

Purpose: Recognizes a business that demonstrates excellence in operations, customer service,

community involvement, and contributions to the local economy.

Nomination Criteria

1. Business Excellence

Demonstrates strong business practices, innovation, quality products or services,

and outstanding customer service.

Maintains a positive reputation within the community.

2. Community Leadership

Actively supports community events, nonprofit organizations, schools, or local

initiatives through volunteerism, sponsorships, or partnerships.

Demonstrates a commitment to making Sanders County a better place to live and work.

3. Economic & Community Contribution

Contributes to the economic vitality of Sanders County through job creation,

business growth, local purchasing, or other positive economic impacts.

Serves as a role model for ethical business practices and community stewardship.

Eligibility (for both awards)

 Nominee must be a current Sanders County Chamber of Commerce member in goodstanding.

 Self-nominations are permitted.

Scoring

Each criterion can be scored on a 1–10 point scale:

 Leadership/Excellence – 10 points

 Community Impact – 10 points

 Collaboration/Economic Contribution – 10 points

Maximum Score: 30 points

Award nominations open each year October 1st and close February 1st.
